5. We have considered the rival submissions made by learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

6. The courts below have appreciated the entire evidence on record, including the evidence of the defence. The appellant also examined Ajeesh M. Muraleedharan (DW.1), who was a Sub-Editor, Malayala Manorama and thereafter, the High Court concurred with the findings of fact recorded by the Sessions Court on various issues. There is no dispute that Praveen (deceased), was a victim of homicide, and that the dismembered parts of the body recovered from the lake were those of Praveen, as the same stood proved by the DNA report.
