14.All India Council for Technical Education issued a notification on 08.11.2012 laying down guidelines for conferment for Career Advancement Scheme for the technical staff in the teaching institution. As per Clause 2.5 of the said Notification, CAS promotion from a lower grade to a higher grade of Lecturer/Lecturer (Senior scale) shall be conducted by a 'Screening-cum- Evaluation Committee' adhering to the criteria laid out as API score in Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) in the Tables of Appendix-I.
