iv)Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology  mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

OR B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline to be substantiated by credentials.

19. The above tabulation would show that for appointment to the post of Professor, one should have a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience, including an experience of guiding candidates for research at the doctorate level. But for appointment to the post of Associate Professor, it is enough if the aspirant has a minimum of 8 years of experience. Similarly, for appointment to the post of Professor, the candidate should produce evidence of published works with a minimum of 10 publications as books, but for the post of Associate Professor one must have only a minimum of 5 publications as books.

6.4.8.Associate Professor completing three years of service in stage 4 and possessing a Ph.D Degree in the relevant discipline shall be eligible to be appointed and designated as Professor and be placed in the next higher grade (Stage 5), subject to (a) satisfying the required credit points as per API based PBAS methodology provided in Table I-III of Appendix IV stipulated in these Regulations and (b) an assessment by a duly constituted selection committee as suggested for the direct recruitment of Professor. Provided that no teacher, other than those with a Ph.D., shall be promoted or appointed as Professor.
