This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and necessary protection for conducting “Maha Urtchava Thiruvizha” festival followed by cultural programs including the dance program (Adal Padal) Schedule to be at 06.00 p.m., on 08.06.2022 at Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Thirukovil at G.Thummalapatti Village, Dindigul District.

2.Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner seeks permission for conducting “Maha Urtchava Thiruvizha” festival followed by cultural programs including the dance program (Adal Padal) Schedule to be at 06.00 p.m., on 08.06.2022 at Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Thirukovil at G.Thummalapatti Village, Dindigul District. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis programme, they sought permission of the police by giving a representation dated 16.05.2022. But the respondents have not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
