66. In Microsoft Technology (supra), an appeal was filed on behalf of Microsoft against the order of the Controller rejecting the grant of patent based on Section 3(k) of the Patents Act. The appeal was allowed and the order of the Controller was set aside. It was the case of Microsoft that its claim relates to a technical process that solves a technical problem and provides a technical solution/advancement relating to security of the data accessed on a network.
