The undersigned is directed to refer to CBDT's OM No.A-12025/4/2015-Ad-VI dated 04.07.2022 on the subject cited above thereby stating that Physical Requirement of 'Communication' is mandatory for induction in IRS (IT) for candidate Ms. Neha Veeravalli, a PwBD-HI candidate of CSE-2014.

In this regard, it is stated that as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and advice of Ld.Additional Solicitor General of India, Shri Sanjay Jain in the matter, the Medical Examination of Ms. Neha Veeravalli was scheduled on 19.09.2022 and 20.09.2022 at AIIMS, New Delhi. AIIMS vide letter No.F-22/DOPT/2022-Est.(H) dated 21.09.2022 has forwarded the Medical Examination Report of Ms. Neha Veeravalli, in which it has been stated that Ms. Neha Veeravalli's Cochlear Implant aided hearing thresholds are within 'banana curve', SAT levels are 60db and SDS of 50% (with Cochlear implant). Candidate's Functional Classification if FD (Fully Deaf) without Implant, PD (Partially Deaf) with the Implant. She can hear/speak reasonably well, with some effort, including lip reading and her communication ability is good. A copy of Medical Examination Report of Ms. Neha Veeravalli is enclosed herewith. It is evident from the said Report that she meets the FC & PR in respect of IRS(IT) as per CSE Rules-2014.
