The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2023 to grant permission and police protection to conduct the “Maasi Festival” on 22.02.2023 and 23.02.2023 and the temple namely “Arulmigu Sri Angala Eswari Amman and parivara Theivangal temple” in Alagapuri, palapatti village, Vedasanthur Taluk, Dindigul District.

2.Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that “Maasi Fstival” for the temple, by name, “Arulmigu Sri Angala Eswari Amman and parivara Theivangal temple” in Alagapuri, palapatti village, Vedasanthur Taluk, Dindigul District. is going to be held on 22.02.2023 and 23.02.2023. For the same, they sought permission of the police by giving a representation dated 04.02.2023. But, the respondents https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis have not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
