Efforts were made by the BIFR to revive Damodhar Cement for which several discussions took place between the representatives of the writ-petitioner company viz. ACC Ltd. and Damodhar Cement along with the representatives of the Government of West Bengal and the Central Government, Industrial Reconstruction Department, Government of West Bengal, Kolkata, West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited and various financial institutions who gave various loans and advances to Damodhar Cement apart from other interested persons.
