43. The Colour Picture Tubes and Plastic Moulded Parts have been imported under Open General Licence. The first petitioner is eligible for such import. It is urged that the 20" Colour Picture Tubes do not meet the broad outline specifications as specified in the Import Policy, the petitioners have got the said Colour Picture Tubes tested by Electronics Testing Laboratories (East), Department of Electronics, Government of India who have issued a certificate that the said Colour Picture Tubes meet the broad outline specifications prescribed in the Import Policy 1985-88 for import under Open General Licence. The said report, though annexed with the Writ application, the same has not been challenged by the Customs authorities.
