1. This petition has been filed inter alia for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to de-freeze petitioner's current account maintained at HDFC Bank Limited, Jandiala Road, Tarn Taran - respondent No.5.

2. Counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner is an Income Tax practitioner and maintains a current account with the bank - respondent No.5. He submits that a lien has been marked and account has been debit-freezed on instructions received from respondent No.6. He states that petitioner had received a credit of Rs.1,43,905.50 by selling crypto currency to Umesh Pal through an online trading platform namely "Binance Lite" on 22.10.2024, which has been red-flagged by Cybercrime Police Station, Coimbatore City by notice dated 26.10.2024, Annexure P-2. Counsel has stressed that there is no allegation of fraud against the petitioner, nor is he an accused in criminal matter referred to in communication, Annexure P-2.
