By way of the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner inter alia seeks setting-aside of office order bearing No. Estab/LD/2025/311 dated 11.03.2025 and consequential Advertisement bearing No. NT-03/2025 dated 11.03.2025 qua 01 post of Security Officer, Group-B in Level-7 issued by respondent No.1.

The essence of the petitioner's grievance is that having worked as a security officer for respondent No.1 for more than 15 years on contractual basis, his employment has not been regularised; and that the petitioner is now being asked to apply for the regular post in pursuance to impugned advertisement dated 11.03.2025 alongwith other applicants, who would be half his age.
6. Issue notice.
7. Dr. Swaroop George and Mr. Syed Abdul Haseeb, learned counsel appear for the respondents on advance copy; accept notice; and seek time to file counter-affidavit and reply.
8. Dr. George submits that, the requisite age relaxation has been granted to the petitioner for participating in the recruitment process against the regular post.
9. Let counter-affidavit to the petition and reply to the application be filed within 04 weeks of service; rejoinder thereto, if any, be filed within 03 weeks thereafter; with copies to the opposing counsel.
