This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for Arulmigu Punitha Jebamalai Madha Kovil at Bothamettupatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District on 07.10.2014 and for the "Aadal Padal Dance" Programme on the night of 07.10.2014.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

5. In the affidavit, it has been stated that every year, the villagers used to celebrate festival in Arulmigu Punitha Jebamalai Madha Kovil at Bothamettupatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District and devotees from various parts of the State used to visit the temple and offer their prayers. In this year also, the villagers have decided to celebrate the said festival on 07.10.2014. In this regard the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 23.09.2014 to the respondent seeking permission to conduct the "Aadal Padal Dance" programme. But the said representation has not been considered so far. Hence the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

7. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that he would abide by all the above said 23 conditions, which are enumerated by the respondent Police.

8. In view of the above, this Writ Petition stands allowed and the respondent Police is directed to give necessary permission by imposing the above said conditions for conducting the Aadal Paadal Dance Programme on 07.10.2014 by considering the representation of the Petitioner, dated 23.09.2014. No costs.
