(Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili) Aggrieved by the order, dated 17.02.2010, passed in O.A.No.3284 of 2006 by the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal, Hyderabad (for short, 'the Tribunal'), the present Writ Petition is filed.
2. Heard learned Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for the petitioners.

Learned Government Pleader for the petitioners had contended that respondent No.1 was working as Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) and he has responded to DSC-2003 notification for the Post of School Assistant. After undergoing the regular selection process, he was selected and appointed as School Assistant as per the Andhra Pradesh Direct Recruitment of Teachers (Scheme of Selection) Rules, 2000 issued in G.O.Ms.No.72, dated 3.7.2000. Learned Government Pleader further contended that the persons who were AKS,J & LNA,J ::2:: wp_21689_2011 appointed as SGTs will be treated initially as apprentice for a period of 4 years from the date of joining and after successful completion of 4 years of service as apprentice, they will be extended the regular pay scale. As respondent No.1 was recruited as School Assistant pursuant to DSC-2003 notification, he was treated as apprentice and was being given stipend accordingly. Aggrieved by the action of the petitioners in treating respondent No.1 as apprentice, he has approached the Tribunal by filing O.A.No.3284 of 2006 and the Tribunal vide common order dated 17.02.2010 was pleased to allow the O.A. by directing the petitioners to pay regular pay scale attached to the post of School Assistant to respondent No.1, without appreciating any of the contentions raised by the petitioners.
