The trial court has acquitted him by granting benefit of doubt for the charged offences under section 354 and 376(2)(g) read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

13.22 Accused No.42, Hiraji @ Hiro Marvadi @ Sonaji son of Danaji Meghval (Marvadi) came to be convicted for the offences punishable under sections 143, 144, 147, 148 read with section 149 of Indian Penal Code section 295, 427, 435, 436, 440, 153, 153-A, 153-A(2), 323, 324, 325, 326, 302 and 307 read with section 149 of Indian Penal Code and for the same offences read with section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code as well as under section 120-B of Indian Penal Code and section 135(1) of the Bombay Police Act.
