1. The grievance of the plaintiffs in this suit is that the scanned copy of academic books which are authored by Plaintiff 2 and published by Plaintiff 1, and in which the plaintiffs, therefore, hold copyright are surreptitiously being made accessible online through various websites and domain names, the details of which remain masked.

2. This Court, vide order dated 23 December 2022, found substance in the said submission and, accordingly, directed the concerned defendant to ensure that the URLs relating to the said infringing websites, which figure at pages 341 to 349 of the plaint, be CS(COMM) 921/2022 Page 1 of 3 This is a digitally signed order.

The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 28/11/2023 at 21:30:43 taken down, forthwith. However, the said URLs covered the YouTube videos and the Telegram and the content which was being communicated through Telegram channel.

3. Accordingly, by order dated 3 July 2023, as modified on 4 August 2023, Defendant 1 was directed to lock and suspend the domain names askbooks.net, motivationbank.in, aktutor.in, studocu.com, aktureference.com and megabyteproject.com.

4. Ms. Aishwarya Kane, learned Counsel for the plaintiff, submits that the plaintiff has come across additional websites which are making such infringing content accessible. The plaintiff has, accordingly, moved the present application for extending the interlocutory directions passed in respect of the domain names earlier identified in the plaint, to the said additional domain names relating to the said additional websites.

5. Accordingly, Defendant 1 is directed to additionally lock and suspend the domain names aiemd.org, Examtrix.com, Pdffile.co.in and Pdfseva.com.

6. Defendants 4 and 5 are also directed to issue directions to internet service providers to block access to which the aforesaid domain names resolve.

7. Defendant 1 is also directed to provide, on affidavit, the details of the registrants of the said domain names, whereupon Ms. Kane undertakes to file an amended memo of parties, impleading the said CS(COMM) 921/2022 Page 2 of 3 This is a digitally signed order.
