It is submitted that the selected candidates were earlier working as permanent faculties in various other Universities, and tendered their resignation post selection in the respondent University, therefore, allowing the instant petition would cause grave injustice to the candidates duly selected by the fair process adopted by the University.

20. It is also submitted that as per the UGC Regulations, the API score, as awarded to the candidates, is used merely for screening purpose and the same does not have any bearing on the expert assessment, therefore, the scores awarded to the petitioners were only relevant till their screening to the next round.
