We may notice that adopting the consultative process of stakeholders in this case, meeting of the Chief Secretary, State of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Secretary, State of Uttarakhand and other Senior Officers from the State Governments, Jal Nigam of State of Uttarakhand, Public Authorities, State Pollution Control Boards and other concerned authorities, was held on 23rd December, 2015. The Secretary of Ministry of Water Resources who is also holding the charge of the Namami Ganga Project as well as Additional Secretary from MoEF were also present. In that meeting, various issues were discussed and various suggestions were made. Inter-alia it was also pointed out that the condition of Zero Liquid Discharge on the industries as well as installation of online monitoring system is difficult to be performed and achieved. The matter in relation to seriously polluting industries setting up of a CETP and STPs, was also deliberated upon with an intention to provide full opportunity to the stakeholders to address their submissions in regard to all aspects of cleaning of River Ganga in relation to Segment B of Phase
