1. Mr.Kalel, learned AGP and others appearing for the State in these matters have tendered a copy of the letter dated 8th February, 2022 addressed by the Deputy Secretary, State of Maharashtra to the vai 6 - cp 242- 2021 g.doc learned AGP instructing him to make a statement that all the contempt petitions where the State Government is directed to delete the mutation entry which are on board today would be complied with within two weeks from today. A copy of the letter is taken on record and marked "X" for identification. Statements made by the learned AGP are accepted as and by way of undertaking to this Court.
Undertaking would be complied with within two weeks from today.
2. In view of the undertaking rendered by the learned AGP, all these contempt petitions are disposed of.
3. Place all these contempt petitions on board for reporting compliance on 25th February, 2022. It is made clear that no further extension of time would be granted. If the order is not complied with of which contempt is alleged by the petitioners and in accordance with the undertaking rendered before this Court, this Court would initiate appropriate proceedings under the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India against the erring officers on the next date.
