15. The sale data provided by the State in the Referral Court, it is contended, did not reflect the market value but the set-forth value for the sales and, as such, could not have been looked into for the purpose of assessment of compensation.
16. Learned senior counsel contends that in Section 2(13) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 „Mouza" has been defined as the smallest unit of area of land. Since the Sale Deeds produced by the claimant were all pertaining to the Bhadrakali Mouza, which is the same Mouza where the acquired lands are situated, the said deeds provided an accurate measure of the compensation, as the market value as determined by the Registration Office were mentioned in each of the Deeds.
