Immediately, the interview process was completed and 9 candidates were selected by the interview committee. The name of the writ petitioner was not forwarded by the District Employment Exchange, Trichy on the ground that he has crossed the eligible upper age. But the age relaxation prescribed by the Government was not followed by the Transport Corporation and not extended to the writ petitioner herein. Subsequently, he filed a Writ Petition in W.P.(MD).No.8798 of 2009 seeking the relief of age relaxation and direction to the District Employment Officer, Trichy to sponsor his name to the notified post. Based on the direction passed by this Court in W.P. (MD).No.8798 of 2009, his name was sponsored to the Transport Corporation on 07.01.2011 and it was returned by the Corporation stating that no recruitment was made in the year 2011.
