This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission and necessary protection for conducting “Vaigasi Pongal Thiruvizha” festival followed by cultural programs including the dance program (Adal Padal) Schedule to be at 06.00 p.m on 08.06.2022 at Arulmigu Kaliamman Thirukovil at K.Unnipatti Village, Avalsurampatti Post, Madurai District.

2.Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner seeks permission for conducting “Vaigasi Pongal Thiruvizha” including the dance program (Adal Padal) Schedule to be held on 08.06.2022 at Arulmigu Kaliamman Thirukovil at K.Unnipatti Village, Avalsurampatti Post, Madurai District. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme, they sought permission of the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis police by giving a representation dated 16.05.2022. But the respondents have not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.
