Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Counsel for the respondent on this petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act,1996. The petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the arbitral tribunal which has expired on 29 February 2020.

2. Learned Counsel for the respondent, on instructions, also has no objection for extension of mandate of the arbitral tribunal.

3. Accordingly, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended for a period of eight months from today. The Arbitral Tribunal shall make an endeavour to conclude the arbitral proceedings and publish an award within the extended period so that there is no need to the parties to apply for a further extension. The parties shall co-operative in the early disposal of the arbitral proceedings. All contentions of the parties are expressly kept open.

4. Disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
