A perusal of the records in this matter would go to show that the caste rotation roster for the post of Village Assistant is mentioned as BC (Non priority category) and MBC (non priority category). It is indisputable settled law that percentage of reservation for SC/ST is generally fixed in proportion to the population in the concerned State/Union Territory. Therefore, the authorities cannot confuse with caste rotation roster otherwise and reject the petitioner in the selection, who already worked in the Village Administrative Office, Erumad-I, for 8 years and produced such certificate in his support.
