From 5.12.07, zero balancing links were prepared for the entire southern railway for the over riding kilometers between the divisions, duly ensuring equal distribution of mileage between all the divisions. By this arrangement, trains working in Tiruchchi-Rameswaram section were handed over to MDU division guards.
