proxy litigation in purely contractual matters.
2. The judicial review of such contractual matters
personal gain or private profit
either of themselves or as a proxy of others or for any
other extraneous motivation or for glare of publicity ... gives impression
about oblique motives involved, and in most cases show proxy
litigation. Where the petitioner has not even a remote link
with the issues
Constructions Ltd. [(1999) 1 SCC 492] has
clearly stated that public interest litigation should be bona fide for
public good and nor merely a cloak ... process of the Court and has been filed as a proxy litigation for
the purpose of achieving private interest. This Court cannot permit
