Section 181 in The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
181. Place of trial in case of certain offences.

accused has to "account for" under section 181(4) , Criminal Procedure Code, meaning thereby where the "account of the accused is miantined ... that the words "accounted for " under section 181(4) . Criminal Procedure Code , would apply. That is not the case here.

181 provides for place of trial in case
of certain offences. Sub-section (4) of Section 181 was
introduced in the Code of Criminal Procedure ... terms of Section 178 read with Section 181(4)
of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The same logic would be applicable even in the present
police station at which
information is given ( Section 181 , Criminal
Procedure Code);
(b) if the alleged offence is theft, or any offence
which includes theft ... police station at
which the report was made ( Section 181 ,
Criminal Procedure Code);
(c) if the offender committed the alleged offence
while on a journey
