termination order dated
27.11.1969 issued by the appellant/defendant terminating the
Apprenticeship Contract of the respondent/plaintiff was illegal.
2. The facts of the case ... termination order of 27.11.1969
as illegal results in continuation of the Apprenticeship Contract of the
respondent/plaintiff with the appellant/defendant.
3. The courts below
Labour, Government of India in April, 1979. They are awarded National Apprenticeship Certificate. The apprenticeship training was received by them in the Delhi-unit ... original Apprentices Act , namely, Act Xix of 1850 was passed for providing apprenticeship training to orphans and poor children. The Act was further amended

TELCO, (1975) 2 SCC 835, has
described the import of "apprenticeship," while observing as under:
"6. The heart of the matter ... apprenticeship is,
therefore, the dominant object and intent to impart on
the part of the employer and to accept on the part of
the other
following groups (who com- pleted or will complete the period of their apprenticeship after introduction of the Prescribed scales of pay) should be refixed ... being put into a working post after completion of 6 years' apprenticeship, no increment in the time scale would be allowed until the date
letter
dated 06.06.2019.
3. The facts further reveal that the period of apprenticeship as per the
terms and conditions of the offer of appointment ... they will not leave the
company before completion of the period of apprenticeship (1 year). The
facts of the case reveal that the apprenticeship period
specifying the eligibility conditions for recruitment, also provided that the
period of apprenticeship would be two years (twenty-four months), which
period was extendable ... were posted at different
locations across the country. Their performance during their apprenticeship
training at the respondent company was duly appreciated by their superior
officers
petitioners into the services of the Bank upon completion of their
apprenticeship, this relief was not pressed at the time of hearing.
2. The petitioners ... accordance
with the Bank's apprenticeship policy. The notification provided, inter
alia, as follows:
"• It shall neither be obligatory on the part
