view to giving an adequate opportunity to the officer charged to reflect with cool
mind as to what defence, if any, he would like ... provide reasonable
opportunity to the charged officer to reflect with cool mind, weigh calmly the
pros and cons of pleading guilty or defending the charge
presented by an eye witness
having sufficient time to have cool reflection over the matter,
material omission in it relating to the participation
reasonable time and sufficient time should be allowed for cool reflection. What time would be just and proper will depend on facts of each case ... that the learned Magistrate should have granted some more time for cool reflection.
9. The learned counsel for appellant has taken a further ground that
present case no sufficient time was given to the appellant for cool reflection and the confession was not voluntarily.
In support of his contention ... hour's time was given to the accused for cool reflection. He has not stated that his chamber, in which he recorded the confession
