expenses or educational expenses is given to the daughter under
Section 20 of the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act and the
mother
against her mother and her uncle (the mother's
brother), claiming that she is a co-owner along with her mother ... approach would have
been understandable had it ordered maintenance to the mother,
after finding that she could not maintain herself, and by leaving
the property
such person" show that the liability to provide maintenance to the father and mother, is that of the son and not of the daughter ... proceeded against. The section does not contemplate proceedings against the mother for maintenance of her illegitimate child. Similarly a father-in-law has not been
provide for his maintenance.
7. The expression 'maintenance' is defined in Sub-clause (b) of Section 3 of the Maintenance Act to include ... mother, and if he is able to prove such maintenance by the mother, the minor child may not be entitled to claim maintenance from
compromise entered into between him and the mother would
preclude the daughters from claiming maintenance and marriage
expenses from the father.

petitioners had taken up a contention that, they would pay
maintenance and maintain their mother only if she comes and lives

daughter moved the court on behalf of her mother seeking
maintenance from the son. The learned Magistrate allowed the
petition and the said
affairs, a fight between a mother and son.
Petitioner in the MC is the mother, who claimed
maintenance against her son, who is stated ... civil
suit or proceeding. If a claim for maintenance is
made by the mother against the son in a civil suit
or proceeding before
they needed an enhanced amount of monthly maintenance
and claimed `5,000/- for the mother and `4,000/- for the son
respectively. The Family Court ... mother and son as their maintenance.
6. The first question to be considered is whether any
changes occurred in the circumstances of life
