Controller of Imports & Exports, Bombay issued a
Special Imprest Licence (SIL), to the appellant on 30th May,
1983, under AM 84 policy, permitting ... imported and cleared without payment of duty
under the Special Imprest Licence (SIL) dated 30th May,
1983. The proposed action was challenged by the
appellant
purchased the above bogus SIL
from one Shri Sushil Kumar Lohia who, in turn admitted that the SIL was
given to him by one Shri ... looked after purchase of licences, clearance of goods, delivery,
payment to supplier etc. and that licence brokers through whom SILs were
purchased and whom
since the impugned Circular/Notification has been issued to
give concession to SIL importers at the cost of EOUs.
On 10.1.07 when the above matters came ... under OGL
licence and limiting the issuance of licences to
those applicants who have imported crude marble
between 1999-2001 under SIL scheme vide
impugned

SIL in United States Dollars.
In case any costs and
expenses payable by SIL ... subsidiaries/affiliates)'s

DGFT would be entitled to grant licences to the applicants who are so
entitled under policy circular No. 24 dated
obtaining
transfer of licence from M/s Midrex, USA. Without the licence from
Midrex, the imported plant was of no use to the buyer. Therefore ... have the licence from Midrex to operate the plant. Therefore, it
