Apprentice under 10% LDCE quota for filling up the post of Station
Master ... induction/promotion as Traffic Apprentice/Station Master II from 16.6.2008
with consequential arrears.
2. In the reply statement filed by the respondents they virtually
conceded
Palghat Division. They were selected by RRB/TVC for
appointment as Traffic Apprentices in the scale of Rs.5500-9000 and
were appointed in erstwhile ... Masters, Yard Masters and Traffic
Inspectors in scale Rs.1400-2600 / 1600-2660 will be filled by
recruitment as Traffic Apprentices as under

Commercial Apprentice and Traffic Apprentice (having GP of Rs

6. The petitioners sought to submit, before the Tribunal, that

posts of Traffic Apprentices, vide the select dated 03.08.2005, were thereafter,
deputed for training at the Zonal Railway Training ... said Original Application had contended that
they had joined as Traffic Apprentices in the year 2008 itself; and thereafter, were sent
for training. The posts

Apprentice, Railway Commercial Apprentice and
Goods Guard, applications were called for from
candidates having equivalent qualification ... been prescribed in specific terms, unlike for the posts of
Traffic Apprentice or Goods Guard, for which, equivalent

Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) for the post of
Traffic Apprentice. Pursuant to the Chief Personnel Officer's
letter, he was sent ... initial training for the post of Traffic
Apprentice, and after completing the prescribed training and
examinations, he was posted as Deputy Station Superintendent
