and ultra violet lamp was given to them. All other formalities

complainant. Thereafter demonstration of use of lamp and
anthracene powder was shown to them. Anthracene powder was
applied to the notes

In that behalf, it would be useful to reproduce the
evidence of Ramrao Kulkarni, the panch witness ... Advocate.
Jayadrath Gaikwad gave money i.e.currency notes
smeared with anthracene powder to Shri Tandale,
Advocate."
From the aforesaid evidence, it is crystal
fingers of appellant were not having any traces of
anthracene powder. The relevant recitals from Exh.37 read as
under :-
" शरी वाहुळे याचया दोनही ... ought to have traces of
anthracene powder. Even the investigating officer PW 5 Baheti
has admitted that no anthracene powder was found on the chit
