Division, Karnal as the disc of the meter

examination, he admitted that after checking the meter the
meter was not got checked in the ME Lab and fake seals
were declared ... being disputed by
the Authorities that when the checking was done on
3.7.1996 the old meter was removed carrying fake seals
when the meter was taken.
The meter examination note of the ME lab at the Mandi Gobindgarh
revealed the following:-
"The meter duly packed ... meter is replaced after
recovering the cost of the meter from the consumer. The
officer Incharge of ME Laboratory after carrying out the test
checks
near the sealing screw meter cover and
meter base was found defaced. Thereafter meter was checked for
accuracy and dial test which was found ... checking report and has admitted about signing the
checking report. The checking report as well ME lab report shows that the
meter was tempered

by replacing it with electronic digital meter. After installation
of the new meter the consumption of electricity inflated. The
meter showed consumption ... alleged that the respondent was controlling
the consumption on the meter.
The meter was checked in the ME Lab and the
working of the meter
copy thereof was
handed over to the accused. During checking of electric meter, it was found
stopped by using three loops from incoming to outgoing ... into
possession by the checking team; (ii) non-production of photographs
clicked at the time of checking; and (iii) the meter was not removed
right the breakdown of HT/EHT lines.
7. To check the G.O. switches of 11 KV at sactionalizing
places and pole mounting substation with ... overside fusewires.

P.M to check the seals etc as well the working of the meter which was

grid meter therefore, cannot be doubted. Moreover, the respondents
have made
electric meter was
disconnected illegally on 13.01.1989. The stand of the appellant-
Board is that the electric meter was initially checked ... checking on 09.01.1989, the MCB seal provided by M&P staff on
their last checking was found fake and duplicate by the checking
party
