State (AIR 1964 Patna 62) the Patna High Court found that if the Doctor who had performed the autopsy of the dead body was not available at the time of trial or he is abroad, the post mortem certificate prepared by him would be admissible in evidence if the handwriting and signature of the autopsy surgeon on the post mortem certificate are proved.
