This appeal under Section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act,
1986, assails the legality and propriety of impugned judgment and
order dated 27.02.2018 passed by the District Consumer Disputes
Redressal Commission, Udhamsingh Nagar (in short "The District
Commission") in consumer complaint No. 11 of 2014; Sh. Dalvinder
Singh Vs. Shriram General Insurance Company Limited and others,
by which the consumer complaint was allowed and the appellant -
insurance company was directed to pay the insured amount of
Rs. 19,00,000/- to the respondent - complainant together with
Rs. 50,000/- towards mental and financial agony and Rs. 10,000/-
towards litigation expenses.
