Arshad vs State Of Andhra Pradesh on 8 December, 1995

In Purushottam v. State of M.P., , the Supreme Court rejected the ocular evidence, which was in conflict with the medical evidence as to the number and nature of the injuries found on the person of the victim. We are, therefore, unable to accept the evidence of P.Ws. 4 and 5 that the deceased was dealt with only one blow by an iron rod by the accused as against the medical evidence that the deceased had three external injuries, which could not be caused by a single blow.
