The petitioner applied for a contract carriage permit on
17th May, 2013 in respect of the route Gulma Station to N.B.
Medical via H.C. Road, Venus More, S.F. Road before the
Regional Transport Authority, Darjeeling(hereafter the R.T.A).
It is the grievance of the petitioner that such application has
not been favoured with any consideration by the R.T.A.
Having heard learned advocates for the parties and
considering the nature of grievance expressed by the
petitioner, I find no reason to keep the writ petition pending.
The same stands disposed of with a direction upon the R.T.A.
to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for
permit in accordance with law, as early as possible but not
later than four months from date of receipt of a copy of this
order.
