State vs Mukesh Kumar on 12 September, 2018
In State of Karnataka Vs. Manikya, 2004 Crl.J. 1966 (Kant), it
was observed that if the evidence of the complainant is truthful, if it inspires
confidence and, if it is supported by the medical evidence, conviction is
sustainable on this evidence alone. Corroboration from other oval evidence
is certainly useful, it is very much desirable but, if it is not forthcoming, the
prosecution case cannot suffer for this reason.
