14. The Hon'ble Himachal Pradesh High Court in FAO No.135 of
2009 decided on 28.8.2015 (New India Assurance Company v.
Bihari Lal and others) has held that definition of "Light Motor
Vehicle" includes "transport vehicle". A driver who had a valid
driving licence to drive a light motor vehicle, therefore, was
authorized to drive a light goods vehicle as well. The vehicle
involved in that case was Mahindra Pick Up, gross vehicle weight of
which was 2820 kilograms and as per the Registration Certificate it
was a light motor vehicle.
