The Madhya Pradesh High Court in the case of Dr. Jeetendra Gupta (supra), relying upon the cases of Dr. Lalrokima Chenkual (supra) of the Aizawl Bench of the Gauhati High Court and Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh (supra) of the Allahabad High Court, has held under similar facts and circumstances as in the present case, that persons who are registered and had applied for Ph.D. degree prior to 11-07-2009 cannot be subjected to hostile and invidious discrimination.
