In the judgment of the single Bench of this Court in the
case of "Gautam Joshi v. State of Jharkhand, reported in
2003 (3) JCR 602 (Jhar)," the learned single Judge of this
Court after relying the decision of the Patna High Court in
Deo Narayan Lall Das case (supra) has also held that no
prior sanction to take cognizance of the offence under
section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act is required. The view
taken by the learned single Judge is correct.
