99. Thus, through Parnita Kapoor (supra) it is seen that there is
a precedent that in a suit filed by a tenant as plaintiff against
the defendant-landlord for injunction restraining
interference from possession, the Hon'ble High Court of
Delhi has granted relief to the defendant-landlord for the
payment of the monthly rents. By similar analogy, in my
view, this principle could also extend to a case of a
defendant-tenant being granted the relief of refund of
security deposit in a suit filed by the plaintiff-landlord for
eviction and mesne profits.
