In the case of Radhya Sham v. State of Jammu and Kashmir, reported in 1988 Cr. L J 447, it was held that supposed contradictions and discrepancies unless of fatal nature would not throw out otherwise reliable prosecution case and it was further held that conviction can be based on sole evidence of prosecutrix, if her statement inspires confidence.
