In Chandra Prakash Agrawal v. State of Rajasthan & Ors. (1994) 205 ITR 562 (Raj), it has been held that in case silver and cash is seized by the police officers, IT authority can pass an order under section 132(5) and (7) which will be subject to a final assessment.
