26. Even the argument that the case of the prosecution must be disregarded for
want of CCTV footage does not hold any ground, in view of the consistent testimony of
PW1 Kavita. The same is only a defect in the investigation and cannot be used to discard
an otherwise reliable case of the prosecution. It is settled law that taint in the investiga-
tion is not a ground for acquittal. Recently, the Hon'ble Delhi High Court has observed
