Sachit Kumar (supra), the Hon'ble Punjab State Commission,
Chandigarh has held that in case of cheque lost during transaction and
cheque amount and compensation sought, bank to whom a cheque is
presented, if lost during transaction then bank is liable to pay compensation
only and not cheque amount.
