12. The Apex Court in the case of Ramesh Chandra Srivastava vs State of
Uttar Pradesh and Others (2021) 12 SCC 608, has observed that the power
under Section 319 Cr.P.C. can be invoked only when there is a strong and
cogent evidence about the involvement of a person in the commission of the
offence and must not be exercised in a casual or cavalier manner.
