Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was arrested on 24.01.2019 and was thereafter granted interim bail on 16.03.2019 and was released on bail on 18.03.2019 and thereafter, interim bail was cancelled on 06.08.2019 and since then, he has been in custody and thus, his total custody is more than one year and two months. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 24.03.2021 (1 year, 4 months and 29 days) and in the present case, there are 10 witnesses out of which, only 2 witnesses have been examined and thus, the conclusion of trial is likely to take a long time.
