Lalitha, 1991(1) MLJ 297, in which this Court has held that the wife is entitled to payment of interim maintenance from the date of application; (ii) C. Krishnan v. Ponmudi, 1993 (1) DMC 502, in which this Court has held that the normal rule is that the wife must be given the interim alimony from the date of filing of the application for divorce; and (iii) Archanea v. Yogandra, 1994 MPLJ 285, in which, Madhya Pradesh High Court has held that the interim maintenance is payable from the date of application, has held thus:
