United India Insurance Co. Ltd vs Jayaprakash
In Rajula Beevi's case (2011 (3) KLT SN 144), the claim was laid
by the legal representatives of the deceased victim under Section 166 of the
Motor Vehicles Act. The challenge was on the quantum. The appeal was
filed by the insurance company before this Court. A contention was raised
that the compensation ought to have been awarded in terms of the
provisions contained in the Workmen's Compensation Act.
